The Freak-Down

50 Days

There comes a point in pregnancy, especially for the non-pregnant partner involved, where it seems that the only thing that has ever existed was pregnancy. And the only thing that will ever exist is pregnancy. It’s like sitting on a ship in the middle of the ocean, when all you can see is water and no land is in sight.

We’ve been in the middle of this pregnancy ocean for a little while now. It can start to feel like this will never end. But then I get a reminder, like when all the pregnant ladies from other blogs start to pop out their own spawn. First Miss C makes an appearance at The Waiting. Then today both the women from Broken Condoms and Southern Fried in Vegas both shot out babies.

Thanks for the reminder. Yikes.

There’s a dwindling group of people I “know” in the Bloggy-verse still carrying a parasite. Maybe it’s because I don’t read that many blogs. But in any case, it’s proof that time continues to move forward, even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes.

    • That means we’re your canaries in the coal mine. When our babies start going off like popcorn, that’s when you should worry. 🙂

  1. I saw that Tweet….it is freaky to know you’re on deck! For me, it was reading The Sonia Show, Not Another Mother, and Life In These Times and watching their uteruses get vacated that gave me the willies. It’s crazy! Such is the life of a preggo blogger.

    • It’s a little strange marking time by people I haven’t actually met in person. Kind of like using celebrities and pop culture, only far less obnoxious.
